News : What should I do about Stardust?
Ok, some people have approached me saying they dont like the way Stardust has to redownload the distro each time they run it or need to reinstall. I guess that I didnt expect people would need to reinstall so many times, but I do sympathise with dialup users who are unable to use Stardust. What I propose to do is make a "Stardust" for each version of the distro I release. These new Stardusts will contain the distro files in the ISO meaning once you have the CD, you have it for life - no downloads needed! The only catch is, if you want to use the traditional installation method (ftping over EvoX), you'll need to extract the ISO contents, and then extract "distro.rar", then ftp the files across (ok, its not really that much of a catch, just a minor annoyance).
If I do use this new system, it means that 1 cd will no longer fit all sizes - you'll have to download a new CD each time a new version is released. So I'm leaving the decision in your hands.
