New feature : Major update to fanctl

GentooxI decided to try and integrate loadfan with fanctl. Here is the following result:

Fanctl by ShALLaX (c)
This tool allows you to set the Xbox's fan speed.

Usage:
fanctl X - Set fan to X% speed (between 20%-100%)

e.g. fanctl 75

Anything out of this range will set 20% and locked (Xbox Default)

fanctl A B C D E F G
A = Low tempererature limit
B = High temperature limit
C = Low fan speed
D = Medium fan speed
E = High fan speed
F = Sensor
G = Scale

If F = 0, sensor is CPU. If F = 1, sensor is motherboard.
If G = 0, scale is °C. If G = 1, scale is °F
If the current temperature is below the low limit - low speed is selected,
if it is above the high limit - high speed is selected,
if it is between limits - medium speed is selected.

e.g. fanctl 35 50 20 75 100 0 0

Numbers may be floored (i.e. 85% will go to 84%) because of the way the Xbox's i2c works.

Current speed: 86%

Note that fanctl will still work in the same way as it ever did, but it now has the extra functionality of being a temperature monitor in its own right. Also note that the usage screen now displays current fan speed!

Set this as a cronjob every 10 minutes to ensure good airflow and safe operation of your Xbox! This new program has been tested thoroughly for logic flaws and it works fine. It should be noted that if the temperature is equal to or above the high limit, high speed is selected, similarly, if it is equal to or below the low limit, low speed is selected. This is for all you paranoid users out there that think the universe might implode if the temperature lands smack on one of the limits :). Also, insane values for speed and temperature are ignored: speed cant be below 20 or above 100, high temperature cannot be smaller than or equal to low temperature, neither temperature can be below 0°C/F (i.e. cant be negatives!).

To get this update, run:

magic fix monitors && magic

Have fun!
