News : Downtime
Sorry about the past few minutes of downtime - I was testing two new tools I made for the server which will make rebooting totally reliable. Instead of relying on linux to reboot or halt the system, a command is now run that sends 0x40 (reboot) or 0x80 (halt) to 0x02 on the PIC. This means that the xbox's builtin software/ hardware is now being used to reboot - no more problems with locking up on reboot. I shant release these tools because they are pretty dangerous if used incorrectly and could pose a security threat for people who cant set permissions properly.Posted by ShALLaX on Tuesday, September 09 2003 @ 06:19:25 UTC
