If you're going to send me an email like this...
Just dont bother. Close your email client, and save us both the time and effort:Greetings. I recently purchased Gentoox Home & Pro for my xbox and installed them using the FTP method. When I run either, the screen comes up garbled in color. The FAQ states is this happens then you should "Login as root and type "magic" then follow the on screen instructions". I don't understand how I am expected to do this if I cannot see the screen at all.
My only thought was that I am using component out versus the normal video connector. So I searched your site and found a single reference to component out from a news posting in February, where it is stated that "There is one thing I cant get an answer to, but I'm almost certain it wont work... component cables with Focus probably wont work."
This information is present in a single article on your site from almost a year ago. Not in any of the literature, not in any of the forums and most importantly, nowhere on the LinuxCD where you sell your distributions.
I would hate to think that Gentoox was knowledgable of the fact that these distributions will not work on any xbox with a component output and a focus encoder as this constitutes a large portion of the xbox user popluation. I would hate to think Gentoox is selling a product that is known to not work on said units while not making this knowledge accessible to people trying to learn about or purchase it.
But hey, maybe there's a solution I'm not awhere of. If so please let me know. Otherwise, I expect a full refund as you sold me a product through LinuxCD.com that made claims to function properly and obviously does not. I expect you to work this out as it is your fault that the information is not present on your own site and that of LInuxCD as I'm sure you provide them with all the production information. I will also in that case inform LinuxCD.com that they are selling a distribution that does not indeed work on all xbox units. As LinuxCD is a perfectly legitimate business, I will also be contacting the Better Business Bureau in that case as well.
I hope there is a simple solution to this but unfortunately my hopes aren't too high. It is not fair to the end users that buy your distributions to not make the limitations of your software clear, especially those that will cause it to never work, ever.

Read that? Good. Notice how this license means I make no promises that this software will even work? Notice how you have to accept this license to use the software? Okay then. If you haven’t read the full GNU GPL, that’s not my fault... but know that Gentoox is released under it.
I'm not even going to respond to anything contained within this email. Take your petty threatening remarks elsewhere. I don’t make ANY money from the sales, I simply setup the "shop" to allow ingrates like you the opportunity to obtain Gentoox. The fix is in your first paragraph, yet you are too inept to use SSH.
You sir, need a clue.
Commentary
So despite me being as open and transparent as possible about a bug (which I believe has been fixed in magic: echo "22008: Backported i2c and xboxfb from 2.4.26 (i.e. HDTV Focus support)."), he paid the massive fee of $3.98 (none of which reaches my bank account) for my software which I have been working on for nearly 2 years without regular pay (only donations, which I am grateful for) with all the information published online to inform him of such a problem, then complains when it doesn't work. Then faced with the solution of running magic... he runs away screaming "How am I meant to do that?". Genius? You bet. Oh, and yes, the GPL is included in full with Gentoox.
I suppose now I can expect threats for libel. But have I stated anything that isnt true?
