News : Kernel patch revamped
Following a post (or rather a kick up the ass) from the forums... I decided to make the kernel patch keep a cache of the vanilla kernel locally to save a 30mb download each time I release a new patch. This IS safe as it checks the md5sum before using the cached kernel. Note that upon updating your kernel for the first time, you WILL get "missing!" warnings, this is normal as the cache does not yet exist! The next time a kernel is released, you should get no such warnings. See below for an example of what the script output should look like upon first run. Also, I should add that dmp's extended F drive (or G drive) patch has been added to the kernel source. This is for people who wanted to install Gentoox to F: on drives > 137GB. If someone would try this out for me, I'd be grateful. Basically, install Gentoox to E:, patch it up with magic, then run magic f-drive.
