You may have noticed (or not if you have a life) that I have been making numerous changes to bits and pieces of software (Sparkle, Gentoox Loader...) and magic. These changes are to accommodate for Gentoox Home v3.1, Gentoox Pro v1.4 and Gentoox Media Center v1.0 (which is basically the same as Friendtech Media Center but without the branding... I told you I wasn't giving up on it!). The beauty of GPL is that I can legally carry on with this project under my own supervision without harsh deadlines and unrealistic demands.

All three distros will (hopefully) be released on the same day before the end of September. I know its already been 10 months since the last release of Home edition, but dont worry... it WILL be here soon, promise!

Heres a list of a few new features in Home v3.1 to whet your appetite:
* KDE 3.3.0.
* Full (AT LAST) Xbox v1.4-1.5 (Focus) support.
* Preliminary Xbox v1.6 support.
* Mozilla Firefox
* Updated software (as of 20/08/2004)... This means its taken 13 solid days of compiling to get it up to date! (as today is 02/09/2004)
* Updated magic (as of 02/09/2004).
* Gentoox Loader v4.5.
* Sparkle v1.3.
* xmms-shn, xmms-flac (requested).
* XFCE 4.0.6.

So keep watching this space for all three releases! In the meanwhile, here's a screenshot of Home v3.1 running KDE 3.3.0:
