New feature: Want your Xpad to be supported?

GentooxGot an Xbox controller that doesn't work in Linux? You're in luck. Boot Gentoox, unplug ALL usb devices and controllers, then plugin the non-working controller. Finally, run "cat /proc/bus/usb/devices". Then look for the last set of lines that resemble this:

T: Bus=01 Lev=02 Prnt=05 Port=00 Cnt=01 Dev#= 6 Spd=12 MxCh= 0
D: Ver= 1.10 Cls=00(>ifc ) Sub=00 Prot=00 MxPS=64 #Cfgs= 1
P: Vendor=XXXX ProdID=YYYY Rev= 1.00
C:* #Ifs= 1 Cfg#= 1 Atr=80 MxPwr=100mA
I: If#= 0 Alt= 0 #EPs= 2 Cls=58(unk. ) Sub=42 Prot=00 Driver=(none)
E: Ad=82(I) Atr=03(Int.) MxPS= 32 Ivl=4ms
E: Ad=02(O) Atr=03(Int.) MxPS= 32 Ivl=4ms

(These should be the last 7 lines from the output)

Note, the Driver=(none) is important, it MUST read (none), if it doesn't then this is not the right device. Start again and remember, ONLY plug in the Xpad that DOES NOT work. Once you have these seven lines (they run in succession) email them to me using the "Contact Form" and I'll add support. I'll email you back telling you its been added, once you receive this email you'll need to run "magic fix kernel && magic" and let that recompile your kernel. Then upon rebooting, it should work and the fix will remain permanent for all future installations and for everyone else to use.
